As a mom, I believe that sleep is essential to a growing toddler-like Minyong. Studies have shown that kids who regularly get an adequate amount of sleep have improved attention, behavior, learning, memory, and overall mental and physical health. Not getting enough sleep can lead to high blood pressure, obesity, and even depression.
That’s why I give extra attention to our pre-bedtime routine because this will help Minyong fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. It also prevents him from being cranky when he wakes up the next day.
We always start our pre-bedtime routine with a warm bath. I use JOHNSON’S baby Bedtime® baby bath at night because it makes Minyong calm and cozy. It contains relaxing, natural, and calming aromas that help soothe him before bed. Perfect to end Minyong’s activity-filled day. Lastly, I keep our room quiet when we’re ready for bed because it surely sends him off to sleep. I also keep the atmosphere calm and cozy by dimming the lights and playing a lullaby right after a nighttime prayer.
This pre-bedtime routine works wonder for him, and of course, it allows me to sleep carefree knowing that he’ll have an excellent sleep and wake up happy the next day.
