Pregnancy can bring a lot of changes to your body that would serve as a classic souvenir. Stretch marks are just one of them. ⠀ ⠀
These beauty marks usually appear around 13 to 21 weeks of pregnancy. You’ll most likely notice them across your belly, butt, thighs, hips, or breasts. ⠀ ⠀
Unfortunately, you can’t avoid getting stretch marks, and there’s no proven way to treat them or stop them from appearing. So don’t spend a lot of money on unproven therapies or treatments.⠀ ⠀

What you can do tho, is minimize them. Here are a few tips that helped me during my previous and current pregnancies:⠀ ⠀
1. I keep my skin moisturized. I use the new JOHNSON’S baby CottonTouch Face and Body Lotion because it’s water base– my skin won’t feel sticky. It’s also ultra-light and gentle that’s perfect in helping with the itch and dryness of my skin. What I also like about it is that it absorbs quickly, leaving my skin soft and smooth. Plus, the new Johnson’s Baby CottonTouch Lotion smells so lovely that Minyong loves applying it to my belly. It becomes a way for him to bond with his upcoming baby brother.⠀ ⠀
2. I eat plenty of fruits and veggies, foods rich in vitamin C, omega-3 fatty acids (usually found in chia seeds, salmon, sardines, soybeans), and take vitamin D for healthier skin. Tasty and healthy food can also prevent you from gaining too much weight. Rapid growth and weight gain are the most common causes of stretch marks. ⠀ ⠀
3. I also apply sunscreen when I’m out in the sun. Sunscreen is a staple in my skin routine even before pregnancy. The sun’s UV rays damage the skin’s collagen and elastin, which can make stretch marks more likely to form. Applying sunscreen is also the perfect prevention of other skin issues like dark spots and wrinkles.⠀ ⠀
Keep in mind that these stretch marks will be more visible after delivery. Fortunately, your stretch marks won’t stay forever. They usually fade to overtime. Kasi wala talagang forever mommies, kaya wear them with pride like a tiger that earned her stripes ❤.⠀ ⠀
